Expert-DVD

Expert-DVD is a multi-pass high quality variable bit-rate MPEG-2 software video encoder. Expert-DVD can be used to create content for DVD authoring.

Expert-DVD includes extensive observability and controllability features that assist in generating compressed video for DVD production at a quality level that is indistinguishable from original video source. An analysis pass evaluates the encoding complexity and scene changes.

An Edit Decision List (EDL) file, containing parameters that will be changed throughout the encoding at the frame level, is used by the Expert-DVD.

MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 software encoders are included in Expert-DVD.
